10-year-old Emmanuel Sefirinmi Avoseh awarded scholarship
Bridge Nigeria pupil Emmanuel Sefirinmi Avoseh is the proud recipient of the Supreme-Bridge Full Scholarship Award. It means that from September, Emmanuel will swap his Bridge uniform for that of a Supreme Foundation School.
Mr. Iheanyichukwu Akwitti, the principal of Supreme Education Foundation Schools recognized Avoseh’s exceptional performance in both the Supreme scholarship entrance examination and subsequent interview process. Speaking at the award ceremony Mr. Akwitti said:
”The Supreme Education Foundation (SEF) scholarship scheme is designed to bridge educational inequalities resulting from geographic and socio-economic differences and give deserving students the opportunity to attend SEF, which provides world-class education in an exciting learning environment.”
Bridge Nigeria’s managing director Ms. Foyinsola Akinjayeju, said that Bridge believed that a child’s potential should not be limited by their socio-economic status.
She said:
“The Scholarship will no doubt go a long way in the life of Emmanuel and his parents, and inspire other pupils who aim to achieve such a feat.”
Bridge Nigeria was applauded for its impact on the lives of children and families living in deprived communities and for the impact of the Supreme-Bridge partnership, with its potential to lead to more opportunities for future pupils.
