Bridge Nigeria Pupils Awarded 2-Year Sponsorship

The 8th cohort of the Modular Executive MBA programme of Lagos Business School (LBS), also known as MEMBA 8, recently made a donation to fund the education of 10 pupils at Bridge International Academies in Alagbado, Lagos State for a period of two years. The gesture represents MEMBA 8’s social investment project – a part of their MBA programme at the prestigious LBS.

Damilola Hassan, the Class President and Managing Director of Meristem Trustees Limited said “We believe that investing in education is one of the most important things we can do to create a positive impact in our society and as a team, we have decided to commit to this.”

Our sponsorship will go a long way in bringing cheers to both the pupils and the parents. The scholarship covers tuition, school uniforms, notebooks, textbooks and any special education support required by 10 children for a two-year period, enabling these beneficiaries to enrol and/or remain in school. This is to support them and their parents or guardians as they pursue their academic goals, assisting them to realise their potential,” she added.

“We are happy about this gesture of sponsoring pupils in our schools which aligns with our goal of ensuring that every child has access to quality education regardless of their social or economic background,” Foyinsola Akinjayeju, MD of Bridge Nigeria said. “MEMBA 8’s sponsorship will make a huge difference in the lives of these children and their families. Quality education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and this support will give these children the opportunity to achieve their dreams and make a positive impact on their communities,” she said.
